Tap Away Computer Anger

aaargh!

AAARGH!

It’s familiar to all of us who use some form or shape of technology. Just this morning, for example, I tried to log onto a certain social media platform and was utterly frustrated by their security system.

ARGH!

There are few things that can make us blow our fuse faster than computer trouble. We want to be efficient, write our blog post quickly, dash off an email – and then we run into a tech snag that just derails us.

I did manage to sign in eventually, after taking a deliberate break of just a few minutes to calm down and regain my normal cognitive abilities. And then, logging on was easy.

This is key to dealing with tech trouble: Calm down, think rational and find a solution. Often enough, we can just think through the problem, find alternative solutions or discover help – if we can think clearly, that is.

And EFT is the perfect tool to rein in that frustration and anger. Here are some set-up phrases to get you started:

Even though I’m so frustrated by this stupid computer, I’m okay the way I am and I now choose to step away from it and calm down.

Even though I could kick this darn computer to the moon because it’s not doing what I want it to do, I’m okay the way I am and I now choose to let go of this anger and frustration and try again later.

Even though I’m so furious at this stupid computer, I am okay the way I am, and I now choose to find calm and look for an easy solution.

So what was your latest computer trouble? I’m curious how inventive these boxes can get.
