Sometimes, it’s time for a real break, a pause, a moment of reorientation. With a bit of luck, we do sense the need for this in time. Alternatively, the universe will provide an opportunity to create a break so that which has been growing inside ourselves can come out. And we may not like the way it happens. But it will come:
Renewal.
Actually, our physical body does it all the time. Cells die and get replaced. It’s an urban myth that our bodies actually renew themselves completely every seven years, but there is a grain of truth in it.
And we need to do something like this for our focus, purpose and position in life regularly. We need to listen to our inner compass and check in to see if it’s still pointing in the right direction.
This summer – with a break from work and school – could be your time for renewal. When you’re already on a break and stepping away from work stress, this is the ideal time for some reflection. And if you don’t know how, here’s one way of doing it:
1) Grab a piece of paper and write down some things you want to do in your life.
2) Tune into the creativity you had as a child and draw images of what you would like to see in your life.
3) Dive into your new life with your eyes open, visualizing how the day starts, seeing it right through your own eyes (not as a movie).
And don’t be sad or disappointed that you cannot see that life around you already. It takes a bit of time and determination to get there. But this exercise renews your purpose and desire.
Also, here are some tapping starters for you:
Even though I just had a great vision of my new life, and I’m sad and a little frustrated because I can’t see it in my life already, I’m okay the way I am and open to the possibility that I can take the first step towards it today.
Even though it’s hard to believe I still have so many visions and desires for my life, I’m okay the way I am and I allow myself to persue them now.
Even though it’s painful to see that I have none of these wonderful things in my life yet, I’m okay the way I am and I lovingly allow myself to receive them from now on.
So, what visions do you have for your life? And what’s your first step towards them? Are there any blocks and voices coming up telling you “not you”? Then it’s time for more EFT.
