Where did my inspiration go?

Idea

Idea! *

If you’re working in a creative business or job, or maybe just want to blog reguarly, you know this feeling: Some writing is due – but you have no idea what to write about.

In fact, it gets worse, the more you push yourself and the more the pressure mounts. That text is due in two hours, and I still don’t know what to write! Believe me, I’m familiar with that.

And we all know that inspiration flees under stress and only returns when things have calmed down. Well, there are few better ways of calming down than to use EFT. So here’s a quick tapping round for all of you who are determined to write something today.

KP: Even though I can’t think of anything to write about, I’m okay the way I am and open to the possiblity that ideas will come once I calm down.

Even though I’m so stressed about having no inspiriation , I’m okay the way I am and I’m open to the possibility that ideas will come once I calm down.

Even though I hate it when that happens to me and I have to produce text with a deadline, I’m okay the way I am and I choose to calm down now and let ideas float in.

IE: I hate this!
OE: I really, really hate having to write some blabla just because I can’t think of a good topic.
U
E: I hate being creative on a deadline.
UN: I can’t be creative on a deadline.
CP: All that stress is killing my creativeness.
CB: And I’m getting desperate!
UA: The deadline is coming closer.
AW: ARRRRGH!
Take a deep breath!

IE: I hate being this stressed out.
OE: Even if it’s over a small article.
U
E: I just can’t think when I’m stressed.
UN: So maybe it would be a good idea to calm down a little.
CP: If only I could!
CB: But maybe I can … after all, I need to calm down.
UA: Calming down a little would be really nice.
AW: I allow myself to calm down a little now.
Take a deep breath!

IE: I’m still somewhat stressed.
OE: But I choose to calm down a little.
U
E: I still hate having to produce text under duress!
UN: But I can allow myself to calm down a little.
CP: It’s impossible to be creative on command!
CB: But I can still calm down a little and let my mind wander away from frustration.
UA: I just wish I could think of a topic!
AW: I now choose to calm down and let me surprise myself with some inspiration.
Take a deep breath!

IE: I choose to be calm now.
OE: And I choose to find a fun topic to write about.
U
E: Any topic, really. I’m good enough to run with it.
UN: It could actually be fun to try and run with the first topic that comes to mind.
CP: I’m good enough to go for any topic.
CB: I allow myself to be surprised by how calm I now am.
UA: And I choose to come up with a fun topic to write about.
AW: And that feels really great!
Take a deep breath!

Feeling better? I hope so. Tap a couple more rounds until you feel really relaxed and then just let your mind wander. I’m sure inspiration will come along for a stroll.
